Core Activities

• Caring and protecting vulnerable children.
• Admitting abandoned, abused and orphaned babies or children with unknown relatives from 0-5years.
• Tracing the first hand information that accompanies the child on admission.
• Reunifying children with their families after successful tracing is done.
• Fostering by placing children with suitable foster parents who intend to take over children on a long term fostering period or adoption.
• Following up on both re-united and fostered children wherever they maybe, purposely to find out their progress.
• Sensitizing the public on child care and adoption, positive parenting, importances of a family, how to keep children safe among others majorly focusing on the cotinum of care.
• Keeping records of all children who have gone through the Home.
• Reporting child care activities to the relevant authorities such as, Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development, Probation Officers, CWAS Head Office, etc.
• Networking with partners who have similar interests and objectives for vulnerable children.
• Counselling children in the Home and couples who wish to foster or adopt children.
• Organizing trainings for staff, parents and children about child care.
• Running different projects to support the Home.
